Bio

Tamara McLaughlin Patterson is a licensed minister at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Greensboro, NC under the leadership of Bishop George W. Brooks. Having served as a Deacon for five years before answering God's call to preach the Gospel, she is called to the offices of Teacher and Evangelist and endeavors to be thoroughly equipped in God's service. She has earned a degree in Biblical Studies and is pursuing another in Psychology.

As the author of an inspiring self-help book, Issues of the Heart, Tamara travels as a motivational speaker (especially within the realms of youth, women, and business conferences) and coordinates and hosts relationship seminars entitled: What Men Desire and Women Need To Know. She is also Founder and President of Lie Destruction Ministries which focuses on destroying, through powerful and effective evangelism, the plethora of satanic lies the world has gradually embraced as truth.......especially as it relates to male-female relationships.

In addition, Tamara is well-known for her 8 minute "Power-Poetry" ministry that she renders during Sunday Morning services around the country. She teaches, instructs, and inspires women of all ages to love the skin they're in, to avoid and move away from unhealthy relationships, and to walk in wisdom, strength and integrity.

With her husband, Julian, of fourteen years, Tamara has a beautiful and energetic four year old daughter, Taylor, two adorable stepsons, Arthur and Jermaine, and a wonderful godson, Devin. In her personal time, she continues to prepare for the release of her second professional literary work:  "Really Ugly" Issues of the Heart.
